DELEGATE
REGISTRATION

All chapters should have already submitted their list of elected delegates/alternates to the National A.R.O.Y. Secretary, Andreea Grigore.  If your chapter has not yet done so, please see that this is done immediately.

The Delegate Registration Fee this year is $70 per delegate.  It includes admission to all scheduled meals and events, as well as conference delegate materials.  The Registration Fees must be paid either at the time of registration that weekend or in advance of the weekend.  Delegates will not be seated without following the proper registration procedures.

Note:  Only the number of Registration packets that have been paid and registered will be issued to a chapter.  In the event that a Delegate is absent for any period of time, an elected Alternate will be entitled to the Registration packet of the Delegate he/she is replacing.  Should they both be in attendance, the Delegate is entitled to the Registration packet and the Alternate must be responsible for his/her tickets for events, unless otherwise determined by the chapter.  Additional packets will not be issued.

As an added convenience, those chapters who wish to send their Registration Fees prior to the weekend, thus expediting their registration at the event, may do so by sending a check (payable to "59th A.R.O.Y. Conference") for the total amount to:

DELEGATES UNDER
18 YEARS OF AGE

As unambiguously mandated by the Episcopate, all delegates attending the Conference who are under the age of 18 must have a completed and signed "Parents' Permission and Waiver of Liability" Form in order to participate.  This is not optional; any delegate under the age of 18 without this completed form will be asked to leave.

WHAT TO WEAR

There are a variety of events that take place during the Conference weekend.  You should be prepared to wear clothing that is appropriate.

Business attire: pants, collared shirt, neck-tie / skirt, slacks, blouse.  (Jeans and t-shirts are not appropriate.)

Friday Evening Cruise
Casual: jeans, shorts and t-shirts are acceptable (but please remember that this is still a Church function and moderation should be your rule).

Saturday Evening Dinner-Dance
Business casual: dress pants, khakis, neat jeans, collared shirt / casual dress, skirt, slacks, blouse.

Sunday Divine Liturgy & Grand Banquet
“Sunday best”: suit, dress pants & jacket, dress shirt, neck-tie / dress, skirt, blouse.

Sunday Evening Cotillion Ball
Semi-formal/Formal: suit, dress shirt, neck-tie / formal gown or dress.  (Jeans, hats & un-tucked shirts are not appropriate.)

Any clothing that is determined to be inappropriate may result in you being asked to leave the event.  Please be respectful of yourself, the Church and those around you.

WHAT TO BRING

Each delegate should have a pen and notepaper for the meetings, and also bring any A.R.O.Y. information they feel may be relevant to the discussions.  A packet of reports will be distributed when you register.

You may also find a camera is also a good idea to help capture your memories of the event.  However, remember that you are responsible for all your belongings.  Therefore, valuable items should be kept to a minimum for safety reasons.

BEHAVIOR
& PROTOCOL

The A.R.O.Y. Conference has always been considered a family affair.  As young people, please remember that your behavior is observed by many people.  Be courteous to adults and each other – say “hello”, open the door for someone, etc.  And of course, BE ON TIME!

Be especially mindful at the hotel.  You are personally responsible for your actions.  You may be warned by a Conference committee member if a problem or potential problem is observed, but the hotel has every right to dismiss you from the premises at their discretion.  UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will under-age drinking or drug use be tolerated anywhere or at anytime at any Conference venues.  Basically stated, if you are not prepared to be a good example then stay home.

Remember to respect the clergy.  The correct practice when greeting a priest or bishop is to ask for his blessing and kiss his right hand when the blessing is given.

Everyone is expected to participate in ALL SERVICES, and especially the Divine Liturgy through Holy Communion.  Of course, those planning to receive Holy Communion must prepare themselves properly during the prior night and morning.  There is an opportunity for Confession on Saturday during Great Vespers.  Be sure to observe these teachings of the Church.
